Press Kit

A press kit is a promotional booklet for a film handed out to theaters and distributors. They contain plot details, cast and production information and usually a number of still photos from the film. This is an actual press kit created for a major studio picture.

A good press kit includes:
1. A glossy two-pocket folder made from film poster
2. 7-10 photos from the shoot (inside right pocket)
3. 3-4 actors’ headshots (inside right pocket)
4. 1-2 action photos of you the director (inside right pocket)
5. 1-2 page biography of you (inside left pocket)
6. 1-2 page story about making the film (inside left pocket)
7. Cute gizmo or toy (key ring, pen, etc. that fits with the film’s theme)
